Elim Children Home
Children are our heritage. They are our pride and our hope is in them. We are to invest our best in our children to have brighter hope for our country. It is true with the orphan children also. Among the primitive tribal groups the immorality is much prevailed and polygamy is much practiced. So one mans death leave many as orphans, most of the orphans become weapons in the hands of the extremists. They slowly involve in the anti social & govt., elements to get their livelihood. The devil is very strong working among the children and youth of these tribal group people.
So in ELIM we take care of the orphan children from people groups:
Lord in his grace allowed us to start a small orphanage with 6 children in 2004;
they used to live along with our missionary Philip Timothy. Later 15 kids and later 15 added and now we have 31 kids
in our home. At present we have 23 orphan kids and 8 missionary kids from four tribal groups.
In ELIM we also take care for the missionary kids:
The missionaries live in interior rural areas where
proper educational facilities are not available. Sometimes the missionaries had to keep their families in other
places for their Children education. So we want to stand in the gap to take care of the children education
so that the missionary can be in the most interior parts to reach the lost.
In ELIM a new wing is coming up to take care of the HIV/AIDS orphans:
Andhra Pradesh is in second place in the HIV/AIDS patients. It is rapidly growing.
Thousands of people are dying, leaving their children as orphans. Some children carry the disease and some do not.
But the society is not accepting them since they are the children of HIV/AIDS patients.
I have seen their real pathetic situation as I closely associated with the positive network people.
We identified 22 orphans from this group, among them few are positive and few are not but they needed a
touch of love and care. Will you join with us to care for the unloved? We are looking for a separate
building to put them together to show that Jesus Loves and cares for them.
