Church Building Project
A group of believers are formed as a group the church began functioning in the unreached fields. With weekly activities like fasting prayer, Bible study, Sunday school and Sunday worship. For all these activities a place of worship is needed. The new believers with available resources they make a hut where in small number gather for worship. As they grew in number they extend the walls and make big hut. With the local made huts they had lot of difficulties to maintain. The white ants eat away all the paddy hay which is used for the roofing. Then they began to think about the permanent building for worship gathering. They save tithes, offerings and they do collective works by which they raise local funds to construct the church building. They make foundations and in some places the buildings have come up to the lintel level. The cost of the material is very high because they need to hand carry all the material from foot of the hill to the top of the hill where the church is located. Sometimes the cost is double. With the help of the saints around the world we were able to construct few church buildings. The local believers have great testimonies about their worship centers.
Testimony of the local believers when they have permanent church building:
The building structure to the worship center gives dignity to the Gospel, the gospel took permanent settlement among them.
During the construction of the building the believers are united shared the burden and finance and showed as it is
a family affair. A great unity is developed. Every believer must be part in the construction process.
They only hire the technical people, rest of the labor work will be done by the local believers.
After the construction of the building they were able to see lot of growth in the churches.
Praise God. They also able to establish branch centers in other villages.
Present Challenge:
We had to build 125 church buildings in the coming years. Depending on the size of the local congregation and the
location of the village we put up two different types of the church buildings.
The local church provides secured land and 25 to 30 % of the work will be taken care by the local church resources. Remaining funds has to be raised from the children of God from all over the India.
In coming two years we are planning to finish as many churches as possible. So please join in the great venture of the Lord.
